Notts v Derbys Charity Skeet Match

Sunday 19th March saw the annual charity English Skeet match between Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire at Nottingham and District Gun Club. The event was held in aid of Help for Heroes, with a total of £500 being raised from this event and last week's DTL match. Well done to all shooters who attended and helped to raise this impressive amount!

The day saw what can best be described as 'challenging' conditions, with strong winds affecting the targets throughout the day. Despite this the Nottinghamshire team posted some impressive scores, with Tom Clifford and Tom Tristram both shooting excellent scores of 96. This was backed by many more good scores, with all ten of the scores that counted towards our total being in the 90's. An impressive 23 Nottinghamshire shooters took part altogether.

The final outcome was a resounding victory for Nottinghamshire, beating Derbyshire by a huge 42 clay margin. This was Nottinghamshire's first English Skeet win in 7 years and also means we won the double with DTL. Very well done to all!
